Goals and objectives
By the end of the course, learner will have practiced their acquired knowledge in their actual business setting, and will have a portfolio of tasks (written and spoken) as an inventory to review in the future. All assignments and tasks are closely related to learner’s present business position and activities.
We use ANTLE (Association of Language Testers in Europe) can do statements to guide the course towards CEFR competences.
In this course, you will develop the ability to:
- take and pass on simple
messages of a routine kind, such
as ‘Friday meeting 10 a.m.’. - understand short reports or product
descriptions on familiar matters, if these
are expressed in simple language and the
contents are predictable. - write a simple routine request to a
colleague, such as ‘Can I have 20X please?’ - state simple requirements
within own job area, such as ‘I want
to order 25 of…’. - understand most short reports or
manuals of a predictable nature within
his/her own area of expertise, provided
enough time is given. - write a short, comprehensible note of
request to a colleague or a known contact in
another company.
Course participants
This course is suitable for learners who are at intermediate (B1) level of general English proficiency and are new to business English or have a limited understanding of business English (A1).
Course Level
This course is suitable for elementary (A1) level business English learners.
Requirements
- Learner needs to have a laptop or tablet and suitable internet connection to be able to attend online classes.
- Learner needs to make sure they have enough time to complete assignments and tasks by the next session and send the assignments in PDF form to the tutor via email to elahe.ehsanfar@rubeana.com.
- After the completion of the enrolment process, the link to the online classroom, username, and password will be sent to you via email or text message.
